Summer - The Sunny Cowgirls

¿Y como es la Navidad en Australia?... Summer!

Fresh cut lawn
We're running round with it the sprinklers on
At last it feels like winter's finally gone
And now we're gearing up for fun, ooh

Here that sound
Our feet are tapping and the music's loud
Slip slop and slapping drinking cold ones down
While we're soaking up the sun
Come on everyone

'Cause it's
summer summer summer summer

Our Aussie
summer summer summer summer

Our favourite time of year, Christmas cheer
Australia Day is nearly here, it's summer, ooh

All aboard
The boat is ready got our wetsuits on
Jump off the jetty skiing all day long
Then throw a line into the dam, ooh

A clear blue sky
Has now set into a balmy night
Corona's chasing down the fish we fried
And as we settle in the sand
Feeling fit and tanned

(Chorus)

Hot water comes out both our taps
The snakes are under the tank
Singlet and bikini lines
The seatbelt's a branding iron
The bitumen will melt your thongs
The aircon's blasting all night long
That's how you know your in an Aussie

(Chorus)
x2

We Wish You - Frank Sinatra

(We wish you the merriest, the merriest, the merriest, the merriest... to you!)

We wish you the merriest, the merriest
-The merriest?
-(Oh) Yes, the merriest!

We wish you the merriest, the merriest
the merriest yule cheer!

We wish you the happiest, the happiest
-The happiest?
-Yes the happiest!

We wish you the happiest, the happiest

the happiest new year!

May your tree be filled with happiness
happiness and friendliness for all

May your heart be filled with cheerfulness
(With) happiness... and cheerfulness (and friendliness) for all!

We wish you the happiest, the happiest
-The happiest?
-Yes, the happiest!

We wish you the merriest, the merriest
the merriest yule cheer!

And the happiest
(I said the friendliest
And the cheerliest
We said the merriest)
new year!

-Repeat All-

Call Me - Go West

A veces pasa, ¿Cierto?

:-(

Uh, face to face, my reflection in your eyes
I was scared to say too much

Perfect strangers in perfect worlds apart
Almost close enough to touch

Staring at my shoes, Feeling so confused
Shot down without a gun, Victim of a hit and run

Won't you...

/Call me/
No time to hesitate...
Oh, we must communicate
, yeah!

/Call me/
Won't you call this number now?

Mesmerised I go back to where we met
A reconstruction of the crime

I can't track you down, nowhere to be found
Now my one shot at success is the power of the press

Won't you...

Call me, I want you to call me

Watch this space, there's a message here for you
No need to read between the lines

I am inside out, there can be no doubt
I want you and no-one else, Please identify yourself

/Call me/
No time to hesitate...
Oh, we must communicate
, yeah!

/Call me/
Won't you call this number now?

/Call me/
I'll be waiting here for you
I don't know what else to do

/Call me/
Yeah, won't you call this number now?

/Call me/...

Rum & Coca-Cola - The Andrews Sisters

If you ever go down Trinidad
They make you feel so very glad
Calypso sing and make up rhyme
Guarantee you one real good fine time

Drinking rum and Coca-Cola
Go down Point Koomahnah
Both mother and daughter
Working for the Yankee dollar

Oh, beat it man, beat it

If the Yankee come to Trinidad
They got the young girls all going mad
Young girls say they treat 'em nice
Make Trinidad like paradise

(Chorus)

Oh, you vex me, you vex me

From Chicachicaree to Mona's Isle
Native girls all dance and smile
Help soldier celebrate his leave
Make every day like New Year's Eve

(Chorus)

It's a fact, man, it's a fact

In old Trinidad, I also fear
The situation is mighty queer
Like the Yankee girl, the native swoon
When she hear der Bingo croon

(Chorus)

Out on Manzanella Beach
G.I. romance with native peach
All night long, make tropic love
Next day, sit in hot sun and cool off

(Chorus)

It's a fact, man, it's a fact

/Rum and Coca-Cola.../

Working for the Yankee dollar!

Listen to Mama - Walkerman

...listen what I'm saying
And listen to your mama, all right?
Now you watch this...

I was cruising in my car one day
Minding my bussiness on my way

/Oh mama, ven!/

I spotted this girl on the roadside
Asking to hop in to my ride

/Oh mama, ven!/

So I put up the lights, so we don`t crash
Burn and shine, give me your cash...

/Oh mama, ven!/

You, I started to laugh like it was fun
Then this girl pulled out a gun

What up?
You`re always getting in a trouble

What up?
I`m not getting into trouble

What up?
You`re always getting in a trouble

What up?

-No i`m not
-Yes you are
-No I`m not

What up?

She didn't really mean to hurt me
She didn't really mean to make me cry
But if you really want to go that way
That's ok .. that's ok...

(x2)

I met this girl in a club one night
She was riding off like dynamite
She offered me a biggy side by my side
We ordered champagne until the bar was dry

/Oh mama, ven!/

After night was closing in
We started wondering
Who is paying for the things that you order in
Then the girl on the side sees how wrong this is

(Chorus)

Your mama is telling up if you do that
You're playing with fire, you shouldn't do that
You`re mama just was telling what if you do that
And you don't listen up

/Oh mama, ven!/

(Chorus)

Una más Cerveza - Tommy Alverson

One more beer!

Tampoco debemos traducir ciertas palabras o conceptos.

Dejaría 'Gringo' a cualquier extranjero

;- )

Life was kinda hectic and I was having trouble sleeping
I was going crazy and I had to get away
I loaded up my pickup for a Mexican vacation
I didn't know the language but I quickly learned to say:

Ah, una más cerveza
Por favor
Senorita
x3

Then I kept right on driving until I hit the ocean
Found a small cantina down on Monterrey way
I met up with a girl down there but she did not speak any English
I probably coulda had her too, but all I knew how to say...

(Chorus)

Then I woke up the next morning and I knew that I was in trouble
I was extremely naked lying face down in the sand
Well stumbled to me feet, started looking for my old pickup
I would've asked for help, but I knew all they understand...

(Chorus)

So if your life is kinda hectic and your having trouble sleeping
Think your going crazy and you need to get away
The thought has crossed your mind about a hidden up for the border
Let me tell you something, all you need to know how to say is...

(Chorus)

Relative Clauses - Intermedio 1

usualmente posterior,
Relativa a alguien (WHO) o algo (WHICH)
mencionado previamente.

Principalmente se usan 3 palabras:

WHO
WHICH
THAT

Ejemplos:

"The LORD is the only one
WHO can give life"

Deuteronomio 30:20"I will give you and them the land in WHICH you are now a foreigner"Yo te daré a tí y a ellos la tierra en LA CUAL tu eres ahora un extranjero
Génesis 17:8
"I have promised you their land THAT is rich with milk and honey"

A continuación presento
unos listados

Relative Clauses:

(Clic en la imágen para ampliarla)

Nota:Cuando escribo -Whom-

mientras se aprenden a usar, who, whom y which,
pero aun mejor es formar la oración
de la forma más sencilla y fácil,
es decir,
no necesitamos usar ni siquiera la palabra -that-,
la omitimos y listo.

Miracle - Matishyahu (Hanukkah Song)

Algo de Historia...

Juego Tradicional en Hanukkah:

Just living in the miracle, candles are my vehicle
Eight nights, gonna shine invincible
No longer be divisible, born through the struggle
Keep on moving through all this hustle

Head up, heads down through all of the bustle
New York City wanna flex your muscle
Look so down, look so puzzled
Huddle ‘round your fire through all the rubble

/Bound to stumble and fall but my strength comes not from man at all/

Do you believe in miracles
Am I hearing you? Am I seeing you?
Eight nights eight lights and these rites keep me right
Bless me to the highest heights with your miracle

Against all odds drive on till tomorrow
Wipe away your tears and your sorrow
Sunrise in the sky like an arrow
No need to worry, no need to cry

Light up your mind no longer be blind
Him who searches will find
Leave your problems behind you will shine like a fire in the sky
what's the reason we’re alive – the reason we’re alive

/Bound to stumble and fall but my strength comes not from man at all/

(Chorus)

Eight is the number of infinity one more than what you know how to be
And this is the light of festivity when your broken heart yearns to be free

(Chorus)

Joanna - Kool & The Gang

Viejos Tiempos y Nuevos Tiempos ;- )

Yohana, I love you
You're the one, the one for me

I'm in love, and I won't lie
She's my girl and always on my mind
She gives me her love and a feeling that's right
Never lets me down, especially at night

So, I'm gonna do the best I can
To please that girl and be her only man, see
She cheers me up when I feel alone
And that's why baby I've got to let you know

Yohana, I love you
You're the one, the one for me, my baby

She's the one, the one for me
She's the kind of girl makes you feel nice, so
I'll try my best to do what's right
Take her for a ride, everything's fine

Yohana, I love you
You're the one, the one for me

Searched so far, searched so long
To find someone, someone to count on
Now I feel I've got it right here
Found it in you, baby, you, my dear

We can do all night, so nice
We'll have it all and everything will be alright
I'm promising you, take it from me
Take it home, baby take it home, baby

She's the one, the one for me
She's the kind of girl makes you feel nice, so
I'll try my best to do what's right
Take her for a ride, everything's fine

Oh Yohana
Oh Yohana

Yohana, I love you
You're the one, the one for me

Angels we have heard on high - Relient K

"... Y repentinamente fue con el ángel
una multitud de los ejércitos celestiales
que alababan a Dios, y decían:

Gloria a Dios en las alturas
y en la tierra paz
buena voluntad para con los hombres"

Lucas 2:13-14

Dios de su pura buena voluntad
decidió perdonar todos nuestros pecados
en Cristo Jesús,
el cual es Dios y Salvador nuestro.

Dios mismo vino a salvarnos, Yeah!

Y esta en versión más clásica ;-)

Angels we have heard on high
sweetly singing o'er* the plains
and the mountians in reply
echoing their joyous strains

Gloria
In Excelsius Deo

(x2)

Shepheards why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be?
Which inspire your heavenly song?

Come to Behlehem and see
Christ whose birth the angels sing
Come adore on bended knee
Christ our Lord, the new born king

Gloria
In Excelsius Deo

(x4)

Wait Till Sunday - Gary Schutt

Got butterflies, Jello thighs, hands that shake
And a heart that beats to fast

I’m impatient, Stupefied, Hysterical
And I don’t think I’ll last... today

It started out like this, I cant wait for that kiss
If all persists

I just can’t wait till Sunday
It’s only 2 days away

Na na na
na na
na

I’m excited, delighted, Invited emotions overdue
It’s stressless, I’m breathless, I confess just to see you again

It started out like this, I cant wait for that kiss
If all persists

I just can’t wait till Sunday
It’s only 2 days away

Na na na
na na
na

I can’t stand 2 days waiting
Mental anticipating
I know it sounds so cliché
I just can’t wait till Sunday comes

Yeah... I’m skeptical, A concrete wall, But most of all
What am I to do?

You fascinate, intoxicate, exhilarate
Think I’m gonna fall for you

Warm fuzzies, let’s begin, the kiss that breathes you in
I want your touch, can’t get enough

I just can’t wait till Sunday
It’s only 1 day away

Na na na

I just can’t wait till Sunday
Friday, Saturday, Yeah...

You are the blue sky all day
You chase the clouds away

I just can’t wait till Sunday
Sunday

/I don’t know what else to say/

I just can’t wait till Sunday
Sunday

Always - Jon Bon Jovi

:'-(

Love is Endless - Mozella

Peli recomendada:

Life as we Know it
(La Vida tal como nosotros la Conocemos)

En español puesta en cartelera como:

Bajo un Mismo Techo

2 estilos de vida totalmente diferentes
se amoldan entre sí por el amor
dentro de circunstancias inesperadas.

Divertida comedia...

;- )

1 for starry nights and
2 for candle lights and
3 for long walks in the sun

4 for all the laughter
5 for ever after
6 your smile is just the best

Love is endless

/Love
Love love love
Love love love
Love love love
Love is endless/

7 you're my goodluck charm

and let your heart begin

Love is endless

[chorus]

13 I got brand new eyes
14 everything is a surprise

I'm Your Man - Michael Buble

Para la chica de mis sueños ;-)

If you want a lover
I'll do anything you ask me to
And if you want another kind of love
I'll wear a mask for you

And If you want a partner, take my hand
Or if you want to strike me down in anger
Here I stand
I'm your man

And if you want a boxer
I will step into the ring for you
And if you want a doctor
I'll examine every inch of you

And If you want a driver, climb inside
Or if you want to take me for a ride
You know you can
'Cause I'm your man

Ah, the moon's too bright
The chains too tight
The beast won't go to sleep

I've been running through
these promises to you
That I made and I could not keep

Ah, but a man never got
a woman back

And not by begging on his knees

I'd crawl to you baby
And I'd fall at your feet
And I'd howl at your beauty
Like a dog in heat

And I'd claw at your heart
And I'd tear at your sheet
I'd say please...
'Cause I'm your man

And if you've got to sleep a moment on the road
I will steer for you
And if you want to work the street alone
I'll disappear for you

And If you want a father for your child
Or only want to walk with me a while
Across the sand
Well I'm your man

(Chorus)

I'm your man

Mmmm...

'Cause I'm your man

Coca-Cola 2010 Christmas Commercial

Bueno, aun no tengo claro
ambos me producen sentimientos encontrados:

'santa'
es mu tierno, pero imaginario...
y Coca-Cola

¿Eh? ;-)

Once upon a time in a town like this
A little girl made a great big wish...

Shake it up
Shake up the happiness
Wake it up
Wake up the happiness

Come on you...
It’s Christmas time

I know you’re out there
I hear your reindeer
I see the snow where
Your boots have been

The Eagles - Please, come home for Christmas

Mucha prudencia...

Bells will be ringing
this sad, sad news
Oh, what a Christmas
to have the blues

My baby's gone
I have no friends
To wish me greetings
once again

Cries will be singing
Silent Night
Christmas carols
by candlelight

/Please come home for Christmas/
If not for Christmas by New Years night

Friends and relations
send salutations
Sure as the stars shine above

But this is Christmas
Yes, Christmas my dear
The time of year
to be with the ones you love

So won't you tell me
you'll never more roam
Christmas and new Years
will find you home

/ (Oh) There'll be no more sorrow
no grief and pain
And I'll be happy
Christmas once again/

Give me the simple Life - Rosemary Clooney

A cottage small is all I'm after
Not one that's spacious and wide
A house that rings with joy and laughter
And the ones you love inside

I don't believe in fretting and grieving
Why mess around with strife?
I never was cut out to step and strut out
Give me the simple life

Some find it pleasant dining on pheasant
Those things roll off my knife
Just serve me tomatoes and mashed potatoes
Give me the simple life.

Yes, a cottage small is all I'm after
Not one that's spacious and wide
A house that rings with joy and laughter
And the ones you love inside

Some like the high road, I like the low road
Free form the care and strife
Sounds corny and seedy, but yes, indeedy
Give me the simple life

And living I find is best when your mind
is keen as a carving knife

I'm crazy about sleep, can't do without sleep
Give me the simple life

I love to whittle and play a little
Tune on a ten cent fife*

Give me the simple life

I greet the dawn when I awaken
The sky is clear up above
I like my scrambled eggs and bacon
Served by someone that I love

Some like the high road...

Yes, I love You - Strike 3

Every day I know it’s gonna change
A said it because all of you everytime
I feel your hands close to me
Your love is growing strong inside of me, ye-eah...

Your eyes drive me crazy
They make me feel your grace
I wanna be your friend
And be with you until the end

I love you, yes... I know
and every day I want you even more
I need you, yes... You know
It’s like the air... is whispering to give you more

Let’s sit down and talk, look into to my eyes
And listen to the things that my heart wants to tell you now

You took me with your hands
And you show me what is like to show you love and not... be afraid

(Chorus)

All my Bells are Ringing - Lenka

Mistletoe and holly deck the halls
But you don't come around and you don't call
Well it's just like the season to be lonely
And my heart is beating for you only

(So) Take my heart this Christmas
And wrap it in a ribbon and a bow
Yes, Take my heart this Christmas
Take it wherever you go

Everybody has someone to hold
Nestle by the fire from the cold
But I don't hear the carols they are singing
And I've only got one thing good for giving

(Chorus)

All my bells are ringing just for you
And I got no desire for someone new

(Chorus)

Take it... wherever... you go ;-)

"Language is free.
It's a gift that we can give our children anytime and anyplace."
Jerve Pendergrass

Dr. Janet Worker: Thanks again, Warren, for coming in. We really appreciate it.

Narrator: Psychologist Dr. Janet Worker wants to know how babies distinguish speech sounds of their native language.

Worker: Babies, just like adults, are interested in new information. So when they hear something that's different from what they've been hearing before, their interest perks up. And you can measure that in a number of ways. You can measure it through their sucking pattern or through their looking time or even through something like a head turn.

Narrator: Worker trains babies to turn their heads whenever they hear a change in sound by rewarding them with a view of a musical bunny. Soon babies are turning their heads the moment they hear a change, anticipating the bunny. Headphones prevent the adults from hearing the speech sounds and accidentally cuing the baby.

Worker: Hey, Shane. Are you ready?

Worker can now find out if this six month old can hear the difference between two English sounds. She keeps the baby engaged until phonames are played over a speaker.

Audio: Da... da... da... ba...

Narrator: This baby can hear the difference between B and D. In fact, even newborns can tell them apart.

Worker: (Good boy) Look Shane, look.

Narrator: Next, Worker tests the baby with another pair of sounds. The phoneme will change from one kind of D to another. The two sound distinct to speakers of Hindi, but adults who only speak English can't hear the difference.

Baby: Da... da... da... a...

Narrator: The baby hears the difference between the two sounds, one of which she's never heard before. By the age of ten to twelve months, infants not regularly exposed to Hindi lose the ability to distinguish these sounds.

Baby: Da, dah, da, ba.

Narrator: Twelve months old babies have already become specialists in their native language. We now know that in even very young children, the ability to hear language is highly developed. For parents of future readers, Workers' research contains an important message.

Worker: As a parent, when you're talking to your infant, you're not only having a wonderful time and setting up a great emotional relationship, but you might also be providing them with essential information for them to become accomplished readers some several years later.

Diferencia entre Oración, Cláusula y Frase

(Clic en la imagen para ampliarla)

En pocas palabras podemos decir que
las Oraciones se componen de Cláusulas,
y las Cláusulas de Frases.

Oración Completa*
= Cláusula Independiente

Ej:

Yo soy Jorge Mario.

y otra Dependiente o Subordinada.

Tipos de Cláusulas

Noun Clauses
Adverbial Clauses
Subject Clauses
Object Clauses
Relative Clauses
Clauses of result
Conditional Clause
Subjunctive Mood

Si te arreglas pronto te llevaré a patinar.

___________________________________________

Una Cláusula siempre tiene Sujeto Y Verbo.

Una Frase solo tiene Sujeto O Verbo.
